An influencer and her lawyer dad have been arrested over an alleged plot to hire a dark web hitman and have her boy band singer ex-boyfriend killed.
TikTok star Gabriela Gonzalez is accused by County of Los Angeles prosecutors of conspiring with her dad Francisco, who is an attorney, to arrange the murder of her ex, Jack Avery.
The 25-year-old – who goes by the username gabbieegonzalez on TikTok and is known for her lifestyle, travel and motherhood content – has a seven-year-old daughter with her ex-boyfriend, according to a police report.
A police report quoted by LA district attorneys said the couple have been locked in a “longstanding custody and visitation” battle, which Gabbie’s dad is said to be “deeply involved” in.
Francisco Gonzalez is alleged to have hired a private investigator to spy on Jack, including looking for evidence that he was drinking, smoking, or “acting in a way that could be used against him in the custody dispute.” In one incident, he is said to have threatened to have Mr Avery arrested if he showed up to visit his daughter.
In September 2021, Codrey is alleged to have began communicating with undercover law enforcement agent posing as a hitman, reportedly telling him that Mr Avery was the target, discussing method of payment and asking how death would be proved.
Cordrey allegedly went on to tell the hitman that Gabriela Gonzalez had ordered the murder and that Francisco would stump up the money.

Gabriela was arrested last week in California, while her dad was detained in Lake Mary, Florida on Monday over conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation of murder, and attempted murder-for-hire. They and Codrey were officially charged on Tuesday,
The trio face a maximum sentence of 25 years to life if convicted, according to state officials. Jack Avery filed a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend after news of her arrest emerged, reported TMZ.
